ITPER

Website for a psychotherapy practice – an easier first step for new clients

People looking for a therapist often read your site late at night, more than once, before they reach out. I build sites that answer what they're really asking: who you are, how you work, what a session costs and how to book a first consultation.

What clients look for on a therapist's website

Answers before the first call

What happens in a first session, how long it lasts, your cancellation policy, whether you see clients online, whether you take insurance or offer a sliding scale. With that on the page, people decide more easily and you repeat yourself less.

Credentials over marketing

Modality, training, licence or registration, supervision, professional memberships. Most ethics codes are cautious about client testimonials, so I build trust with a clear profile rather than star ratings.

Discreet contact

A short form with no required reason-for-contact field, an encrypted connection and a plain-language privacy notice. No ad-tracking scripts around the form, and I keep HIPAA considerations in mind for US practices.

Psychoterapia.pila.pl – project 2025

A website for Gabinet IDĄC, a practice with offices in Piła and Chodzież, Poland. Each of the four therapists has her own profile with training and approach, and every form of help has its own page: individual therapy for adults, therapy for children and adolescents, couples and family therapy, supervision. Add pricing, specialist training, a blog and contact forms, all editable by the practice in a CMS.

From first call to first enquiries

01

Getting to know your practice

I ask about your approach, who you work with and where you see clients. If you only offer online sessions where you're licensed, we say that clearly on the site.

02

Content and structure

I organize pages around the questions clients actually have and help you describe your services without jargon, but true to how you work.

03

Design and build

Muted colours, plenty of white space, text that's easy to read on a phone. Built in Next.js with a CMS, spam protection on the form and structured data for Google.

04

Launch and Google

I connect your domain, Search Console and Google Business Profile, then test the form and privacy notice. I show you how to update fees or availability yourself.

Questions therapists ask me

I'd advise against building the site around them. Many professional ethics codes restrict or discourage testimonials from clients, and a client may later regret their words being public. Your credentials, approach and clear policies do that job better.
I'm aware of HIPAA requirements, but I'm not a certified compliance provider, so I won't claim that. What I do is keep the form minimal, avoid asking for health details, and link to the secure client portal you already use for clinical intake.
A directory profile helps, but there you sit next to dozens of other therapists. Your own site lets you explain how you work in your own words and can show up for searches like couples therapist plus your city. I link the two so they support each other.
We state clearly where you're licensed or registered and which sessions run online. The online therapy page targets searches without a city name, while your office gets local SEO and a Google Business Profile.
Websites start from €600 / $650. The final quote depends on the number of pages, team profiles, a blog or a scheduler integration. After a short call I send a written quote with the scope spelled out.
