What a medical website has to get right
Factual, not promotional
Professional codes and advertising rules for physicians differ between countries, but they agree on one thing: no exaggerated claims. I write about qualifications, scope of practice and what a visit looks like, with no promised outcomes and no ‘best in town’. Information on prescription medicines stays aimed at professionals.
Course sign-ups without the email ping-pong
Participants pick a date and format (in person or online), enter their profession, specialty and licence number, and you get a clean list in the admin panel or a spreadsheet. When seats run out, registration closes on its own and a waiting list collects names for the next run.
A professionals-only area
Webinar recordings, slides and product-related material can sit behind a login or a declaration that the visitor is a healthcare professional. Patients see the public part; clinicians see the rest.

Bycek.pl – training platform for doctors and pharmacists 2024
Bydgoskie Centrum Edukacji Konopnej is a Polish centre that trains doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians and phytotherapists in cannabis-based therapies. The site brings together three formats: in-person workshops for groups of up to ten, free Zoom webinars and paid specialist courses. The application form asks for profession, specialty, type of practice and experience with cannabinoids, so the organisers know who will be in the room before day one.
What's included
How we'll work together
Who is the site for?
We start by pinning down the audience: patients, GPs, pharmacists, or all of them at once. That decides what's public, what goes into the professionals-only area and which fields the sign-up form needs.
Structure and copy
I map out the pages: services, team, course calendar, materials. While editing the copy I flag phrases that could read as advertising and suggest calmer wording.
Design and build
I design a calm, legible interface and build it in Next.js. Then I connect sign-ups, confirmation emails for participants and organisers, and a panel where you add new course dates yourself.
Testing with real data
I go through the whole sign-up as a participant, from picking a date to the confirmation email. Then I launch, set up Google Search Console and Analytics, and walk you through the admin panel. We work remotely throughout, over video calls.
